Job Description

Salesforce is seeking a Slack Operations Support Engineer to assume responsibility for day to day operations across multiple geographies.

Based in San Francisco, the ideal candidate will have a strong working background supporting a range of enterprise collaboration applications and systems, and will have hands on experience configuring, patching, installing and migrating some of the following.
Experience working with applications such as Slack, Google Suite, O365, Bigfix, JAMF, Hipchat, Windows Server.
The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working autonomously, but will also need to be able to function as part of a dynamic virtual team, and will be adept at shifting rapidly between different tasks, be able to prioritize on the fly, and demonstrate excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

General Responsibilities
● Perform day to day management of our Slack Implementations.
● Design and implement all migrations.
● Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of our migration plans from public to Enterprise Grid implementation,
● Manage escalations of Slack Operations issues, and prioritise and respond to Techforce tickets as necessary.
● Ensure the company is compliant with our security (SOX) audit obligations by patching and maintaining our core infrastructure to the required level, and within agreed SLA's.
● Collaborate on deployment and provisioning of new features both with the business and other IT Stakeholders.
● Work closely with teammates and business partners to develop agreed standards and procedures.
● Training and mentoring of Tier I Techforce Support staff, and other Operational team members,
● Document and refine internal policies and procedures.
● Partner with peers and management to make informed and sound strategic decisions.
● On call duties as required

Knowledge, Experience, And Education
● Bachelor's Degree in a Technology or Engineering discipline and/or relevant work experience.
● Relevant industry professional certifications such as Microsoft MCSA's, Amazon, JAMF, and Google.
● Solid analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
● Capability of working independently, while at the same time demonstrating a collaborative and collegial work style
● High degree of accountability and commitment to meeting colleagues and management expectations

● Desired Skills
● Prior Slack Admin Experience
● Prior Collaboration Tools support experience.
● Linux Server Administration
● Enthusiasm and aptitude for scripting and programming a benefit.
● ITIL Certifications, or experience working in an ITIL influenced environment
● Prior experience using Salesforce.
