Job Description:
This contract position will assist in the operations of the Software Asset Management (SAM) Program. This includes the compliance and data management of the program. Software Asset Management as an IT program provides governance, compliance, guidance and controls around the lifecycle of software used by employees and contractors. This Analyst role will support various aspects of software management, including deployments, purchasing, inventory management, and documentation. Our team leverages existing tools and creating new processes to produce informed decision points for IT and internal business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
* Partner with SAM staff to maintain and enhance our toolset, processes and procedures.
* Promote policies and documentation around software titles to be evangelized by SAM and Techforce.
* Maintain license inventory and catalog data on all products IT manages, as well as collecting data on unmanaged software.
* Consult with business owners on their use of software and adherence to software use policies.
* Recommend license management strategies to the operations side of SAM (Software License Management, or SLM).
* Engage vendors as needed in partnership with Sourcing to resolve fulfillment, support or other licensing issues.

Minimum Qualifications*:*
* A base understanding of the lifecycle of a software asset.
* Strong data management skills, including spreadsheet-based data and relational databases (SQL).
* Previous experience using Salesforce CRM, similar CRM systems, or ERP systems (admin experience a plus).
* Ability to build summary reports and visualizations of data sets.
* Experience using or maintaining cloud-based tools or accounts (software-as-a-service).
* Experience in conducting audits, creating risk assessments and implementing remediation.
* Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive and readily embraces change.
* Ability to understand, adapt and improve current or new business delivery models.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills (both verbal and written).

*Additional Qualifications*:
* Database administration, programming or automation a plus.
* Experience using G-Suite apps (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Keep).
* Experience using and supporting software on Mac and Windows operating systems. A working knowledge of Linux a plus.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills - using formulas and macros, building reports, and compiling CSV datasets for upload to databases.

Educational / Work Experience Requirement
* Bachelor's Degree, Finance, Computer Science, or BBA IT
* Equivalent experience considered:
* Minimum two (2) years of IT organization experience, and
* Minimum one (1) years of IT Asset Management, Database Admin or Software Delivery experience, with a preference of SAM experience.
* Procurement, buying or contracts experience a plus.
