Calibration Specialist

Location: San Diego, California
Technical writing: Develop and write general calibration specifications in multiple measurement domains including, but not limited to, Pipettes (Volume), mass, temperature, pressure, humidity, and rpm.
Specification Administration: Document and justify calibration specification requirements for individual instruments.
CCMS: Update records in computerized calibration management system.
Criticality Ranking: Develop and write procedures related to assiging criticality/risk score to instruments and perform assessment scoring of instruments.
Discuss calibration principles and procedures with internal customers in an advisory role.

Technical writing that is suitable for review by regulatory agencies.
Write concise, logical, and grammatically correct procedures.
Thorough and in-depth understanding of calibration concepts and requirements including accuracy testing, measurement uncertainty, and traceability in a regulated environment.
Negotiate or exchange ideas, information and opinions with others to formulate policies and programs and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions or solutions
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required
Establish rapport and gain the trust of others
Listen perceptively and convey awareness
Take action when answers to a problem are not readily apparent in equivocal circumstances
