Non-Exempt Supply Chain - Project Leader II


Manages smaller projects (or portions of larger projects) within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost to meet customer requirements. Manages specific objectives or scope, timelines, milestones, communication and change management plans and risk assessments.Regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization. Develops solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Effects of decisions are long lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources. Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans and objectives.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Connect and integrate Business to common solutions, methods and tools available
•Develop network to acquire and analyze data for identified existing business locations
•Map and align sending business model into receiving business with definition and validation of sustaining organizational design
•Identify and coordinate work toward providing improvement in the available solutions, methods, and tools for running the newly integrated operation
•Process map existing business and connections to the 3M organization
•Analyze data available to define critical process steps and impact of changes in the process
•Provide decision analysis methodology to select from potential new process solutions
•Process map the future state of the business integrated into client.
•Conduct potential problem analysis of the proposed process map and align stakeholders to the proposed solution
•Implement process and migrate business into existing Corning structure in a timely and cost effective manner
•Identify, quantify, and document savings opportunities/captured between client to client process change
•Identify, understand, and train receiving organization on key metrics to implement, monitor, and consolidate new process with existing business metrics
•Manage any project work required to outsource support activity or to coordinate internal resources necessary to transition process from client to client.

Years of Experience
•At least 5 years of manufacturing or supply chain experience with demonstrated track record of results

•Travel time limited to ~25%
•Flexibility in traveling in Eastern US
•Valid passport with limited travel to areas such as:
oUAE
oSouth Africa
oMexico

Education Requirements
•4 year technical or business degree


Based in Texas. Working location Austin
Estimate 75% in Texas.
Projects will dictate schedules and vary over time
Travel will be primarily on weekdays.
