Job Description:
• Maintains benefits, administrative procedures, and payment funding processes• Resolves tier I employee questions and problems regarding insurance coverage, claims and deductions• Reconciles monthly eligibility files and processes invoices for payments• Completes weekly 401(k) file transfers and reconciles contributions• Coordinates with Benefits team to resolve escalated issues related to all benefit plans (FSA, medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), COBRA, etc.) regarding eligibility, participation, contributions and appeals• Maintains detailed knowledge of Company's benefit plans and processes necessary to administer those plans• Resolves discrepancies of employee coverages and deductions between insurance companies and payroll• Provides benefit support and assistance with acquisitions• Supports benefits annual open enrollment, including arranging meetings, ordering supplies, compiling benefit packages, reviewing annual elections, and processing annual enrollments to carriers• Administers tuition reimbursement plans; processes employee requests• Reviews and updates holiday schedules for Canada and US, benefits intranet, Employee Self Service (ESS) and benefit shared drive• Completes special projects and reports as assigned
Required Function 2:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:• Customer Service-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills• Knowledge of group health and life insurance, including knowledge of federal regulations (e.g., IRC 125, HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA)
Required Function 3:
Qualifications:• High School diploma required; Associate's degree preferred• Two to four years of relevant experience and training (e.g., employee benefits, insurance claims processing, invoice/payment processing).
