Staffing - Multi-Disciplined Technician II

General Description: Daily operation of a state-of-the art diesel engine/dyno test lab and burner rigs for the purposes of testing Corning Incorporated's exhaust aftertreatment products. Ability to follow directions in order to complete test requirements. Tasks include: operation of diesel test cell and/ or burner rigs, handling and testing of ceramic aftertreatment components, operation of state-of-the-art emissions equipment, preventative engine and cell maintenance, data handling with Excel / MatLab

Education: Associates or higher preferred in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.

Required Skills/Experience: Basic Computer skills (Word / Excel/ Powerpoint). Interest to do hands-on work and learn basic repair and troubleshooting techniques (mechanical & electrical).

Desired Skills/Experience: Any Technical experience in mechanical / electrical / or computer programming and troubleshooting disciplines. Controls system knowledge and PLC programming. Interest in engine testing. Interest in automotive & environmental technologies.

Desired/Required Soft Skills: Team building and communication skills.

Special requirements: (Personal Protective Equipment, Certifications, etc) PPE provided by Corning Incorporated. Need to be able to lift 50lbs at times. Ability / confidence to work around high-temperature / potential energy applications. Attention to safety.
