More Specific Job Description is Application Sys Analyst III - Cerner Pathnet or Laboratory Information System.
5+ years of Cerner PathNet experience or Laboratory Information System experience preferred
Subject matter expert in PathNet build and its relationship to tools (Bedrock, DORC, Olympus), routing, orderables, reference ranges, cycling servers, charging, quality control, etc.
Must possess a strong understanding of laboratory workflow, troubleshooting and reference lab aliasing
Managed multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet schedule deadlines
Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail with a focus on a high quality of client service delivery
Non-negotiable skills needed for a worker to hit the ground running:
The candidate needs to have 5 years minimum of build experience with the following areas in Cerner: PathNet build and its relationship to tools (Bedrock, DORC, Olympus), routing, orderables, cycling servers.
Desirable soft skills:
excellent communication skills, ability to work well with a team and independently, problem solving, conflict resolution, critical observation.
Travel: Would be to Phoenix, AZ and would be based on the needs of the project. Could be up to 75% or more. Would be closer to the end of the project to support go-lives.
Business hours: Regardless of location, candidate will need to work Phoenix business hours.
The Application Systems Analyst III provides support for the application development or implementation of low to medium complexity and cross functional program or projects and/or provides application support for the user community with high complexity.
This Analyst III performs troubleshooting for high complex hardware, software and system problems for multiple modules or applications. Acts as subject matter expert in one or more areas. Works on one or more projects as a project team member.
Responsible for working with customers in the design, support and maintenance and deployment of applications as well as the information support processes.
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:
Diagnose and resolve complex problem management and provide guidance to other team members. Maintains knowledge management database for problem reporting and resolution. Escalates issues when necessary.
Responds to customer requests of high complexity that typically require change or release management functions to be executed. Interacts with the customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Develops and maintains a knowledge management system to capture knowledge and work processes.
Participates in the deployment of new modules, upgrades, fixes and new installations. Participates in design, build and implementation and for low to moderate complex changes executes transition to operations.
Develops test plans for new application functionality from application/technical support perspective. Collaborates with the business solutions, Quality Assurance Center and clinical community for functional testing.
May assist in the development of service level agreements (SLAs). Monitors deviations and escalates issues to more senior team members.
Develops overall project task list for application system analysis, estimates and resource plans for small to medium scale projects.
Day to day interactions with user community and works collaboratively with multiple clinical and IT Stakeholders as it relates to Problem Management, and Project delivery on small to medium size projects.
Understanding and adherence to policies and procedures. Develops new or modifies existing.
Demonstrates potential leadership qualities through team motivation, coaching, and mentoring.
Associates degree or technical institute degree/certificate or equivalent work experience.
Requires 7-10 year’s experience working in IT Application Systems Analysis
Requires 7-10 years of experience working on Ambulatory, Clinical, Financial or Revenue Cycle Applications.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
5-7 year’s experience working in the healthcare/medical environment required
Experience working with project life cycle and project management methodologies required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule and meet deadlines.
7 - 10 years of Cerner Powerchart build experience is required, specifically in the following areas: Need to have experience with PowerOrders, PowerPlans, Message Center/Inbox, PowerNotes, Dynamic Documentation, MPages, CareCompass, MPTL/Taks List. A minimum of 5 years experience.
Preferred build experience with PowerChart Ambulatory.
Travel will be 25% or less. Work will be remote for the most part with a small chance of traveling to Phoenix to help support a go-live. When that happens it is typically 3-5 days of support and we try not to have folks travel on the weekends (it just depends on where they live and what time they are needed in Phoenix). They should not have to go on-site.
