SQL experience is the biggest call out.

Team needs someone who develops metrics that provide insight into the business.
Analysis of key business metrics to drive business insight. Develops automated metrics. ETL
Team would want to see profiles of candidates that had career as BIEs and would like in the future to be BIEs.
Previous experience as data scientists is not a good fit.
BIEs (very good with SQL , ETLs, and reporting)
Team does not want previous experience as data scientist (statistics, machine learning) or DBA (data base administrators,).

Services to be performed

Need experienced BIE to dive deep, analyze data and provide decision support to minimize fulfillment costs while continuing to increase the speed at which we deliver our customers' orders. An ideal candidate will have strong depth and breadth knowledge in SQL, data mining, and supply chain/cost analysis. Further, the candidate should be able to quickly analyze large data sets to identify complex patterns and relationships resulting in operational insights and actionable projects.

Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Computer Science or similar
•3+ years of experience as a BI Engineer or Supply Chain analyst preferably in a large company, with very complex data sources, or in an analysis or research role with progressively increasing responsibility.
*Experience with big data: processing, filtering, and presenting large quantities (Millions of rows) of data.
•Advanced SQL knowledge and deep understanding of advanced data warehousing concepts and track record of applying these concepts on the job.
•Demonstrated experience in ETL development, Data Warehouse solutions and database modeling in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
•Good verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
* Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions in an extremely fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to frame complex analytical problems and extract insights that led to tangible business results
*Experience reporting compelling and concise data insights to business partners.
•Experience using Cloud Storage and Computing technologies such as AWS RedShift, RDS, Hadoop etc.


Intake Notes
Team is focused in various cost optimization projects in supply chain. The team is expanding and they are looking for an experienced BIE (equivalent of an Client L5) that has experience in similar corporate environments and can hit the ground running. BIE resources will provide analytical support and work with data that comes across various splits metrics.

Project/Goal for this workers will be to provide analytical support .This will require changing the query changes needed to accommodate the revised attribution logic.
-Typical day to day: query heavy, a lot of spending time intensively writing SQL queries and then putting it into a report - will be working on the whole org; need people to roll up sleeves and actually write the queries

-Schedule is normal business hours. 9 to 5. Remote work is available only on rare occasions.

-There is potential for FTE conversion in future.

TOP MUST HAVES:
Someone who knows how to write SQL queries, complex queries - know to rank things. A a SQL Guru
Somebody who has worked in a similar background and having that experience of handling and multitasking.

Interview plan: First phone screen followed by a very small onsite technical and non-technical in person.
