Schedule - Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Some travel expected on an as needed basis.

Purpose of Position:

The Marketing Specialist is a part of the OCO Marketing organization and is responsible for executing key MKT projects, as assigned by the MKT Campaigns and its programs across the region.

This person collaborates with internal stakeholders as PLM, Market Development, Sales and other Marketing groups within OCO Marketing organization to execute the marketing plan initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
•Execution of key strategic marketing programs/projects including collateral, website, e-mail/nurture campaigns, trade show campaigns, commercialization and all other marketing related activities under your assigned program to achieve marketing plan objectives.
•Collaborate with Regional Segment Marketing Managers to ensure messaging, promotion and external communication initiatives are consistent with goals.
•Support Team on projects to ensure performance and efficiency on time and on budget.
•Support development of segment marketing plans.
•Support sales and marketing in to input new leads and contacts in SFDC
•Maintain positive internal relationships with other departments (marketing services, lead automation, Programs, etc.).
•Maintain proficiency with special emphasis on salesforce.com, marketing automation software, and project management software.
•Develop and maintain an understanding of client's Optical Communications' solutions, their applications and major markets.
•Communicate with internal and external customers and a myriad of external agencies, vendors and partners
•Work with internal stakeholders, Communications and Marketing Services teams to ensure that messaging, promotions and external communication initiatives are consistent
•Understand and apply Corning brand guidelines
•Coordinate content creation, translations and customization of Marketing materials between agencies and different stakeholders
•Participate in monthly global communication calls to share best practices and ensure alignment of global collateral needs.

•Understanding of key Telecommunications applications: Data Center, FTTx, Local Area Network, HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coax) and Wireless
•Understanding of the ILEC (Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers), Competitive Carrier, and MSO (Multiple System Operators) segments
