Facebook seeks an experienced and highly motivated team player to join as a Marketing Paralegal. The position will work with stakeholders across the company to support multifaceted marketing and promotions initiatives and conduct marketing legal review of related collateral. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and to work on interesting issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment. The position is based in Menlo Park.
Review marketing, sales, and promotional materials, including consumer, business, and brand advertising initiatives to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable legal requirements
Serve as initial point-of-contact to provide feedback to correct advertising-related issues and escalate matters as necessary based on guidelines
Work with marketing, product, public policy and communications colleagues on multi-disciplinary issues
Support trainings and development of best practices for delivery of marketing legal review services

3+ years of Paralegal experience working in or on behalf of a business to conduct advertising legal-compliance review marketing and promotions materials
Experience collaborating in a matrixed business environment, including with colleagues across legal, sales, product, privacy, public relations, policy, and others to coordinate stakeholder input as necessary and ensure timely resolution of marketing review-related matters
Familiarity with laws and rules applicable to intellectual property and consumer protection (i.e., advertising, claim substantiation, consumer privacy and promotions, including offers, contests, sweepstakes, and giveaways) across both regulated industries and marketing channels (retail, email, mobile, telemarketing, etc.)
Understanding of basic processes relating to development and delivery of consumer products
Ability to manage work tasks and juggle competing priorities to meet deadlines
Analytical; able to navigate ambiguity to issue-spot, mitigate, and help resolve legal issues
