Summary: This company is seeking a Patient Collections Representative to provide customer service and collections services to patients. This position will serve to review, follow-up and resolve patient account balances by receiving inbound and placing out-bound calls in a call center environment. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive inbound or place out-bound phone calls in an attempt to resolve the account balance. Perform all responsibilities in compliance with company policies and procedures; ensuring timely and complete documentation of activities performed. Prepare and process patient payments using various systems that are available. May serve as a point of contact for patients or guarantors in response to inquiries and unresolved issues. Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor. Perform other duties as required or directed. Skills: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and critical thinking. Must be able to work efficiently and in a positive, professional manner within a high-call volume atmosphere. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related software. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Two years of customer service, call center, collections, and/or medical field experience preferred.
