Performs research and/or development experiments in collaboration with others for projects. Exercises technical discretion in the execution and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies. The candidate should have solid hands-on experiences with HPLC, UV/Vis, SDS-PAGE and Karl Fischer. Independently implement routine and research analytical methods with minor supervision. Communicate experimental results effectively in oral/written ways. Be able to evaluate complex analytical results and recognize abnormality in test results.

Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Under minor supervision, executes assigned tasks following appropriate laboratory/technical procedures. Reviews outside literature, develops an interpretation and may make suggestions for direction. Produces competent, reproducible results according to high technical standards. Makes detailed observations and analyzes data to provide an interpretation of results. Assists with the investigation, creation and development of methods, experiments and/or technologies for project advancement. Prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols, and/or quantitative analyses. Maintains accurate and well-organized laboratory records, worksheets and notebooks. Maintains current training requirements. Maintains compliance to company Environmental Health and Safety policies, procedures and practices.
