Job Summary:

As a Strategy Analyst, you will drive strategy and operations analysis (analytics focused) for the Strategic Products and Accounts team.
This is a challenging position with the opportunity to influence solutions and decisions with professionals in the Strategic Products and Accounts, OSSG, Product Marketing, Services Marketing, Engineering and IT organizations.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for identifying strategic solutions to accelerate strategic products adoption in the field and global accounts growth.
Responsible for analyzing business data and operations around Strategic Products and Accounts adoption, and reporting on key metrics.
Specific areas of focus include:
- Analyze business problems and drive solutions involving multiple elements of program planning.
- Analyze metrics and data sources from around the company to assess product and accounts growth, identify issues and propose solutions.
- Build analytical models in response to requests from senior management to validate or refute suspected issues.
- Identify and communicate risks, and support in identification of key strategies to accelerate past them.
- Keep management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.

- Very strong analytical, critical thinking and metrics-based reporting skills.
- Strong understanding of data analytics principles and practices, and basic forecasting skills in Excel/ R.
- Understanding of sales and/or product operations and related processes
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools like Oracle BIEE, Tableau, SFDC and/or SAP is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined feature and metrics requirements.
- Build analytical models in response to requests from senior management to validate or refute suspected issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate on varying technical levels internal stakeholders.
- Some familiarity with products or other storage/industry products is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibility and Interaction:
- The tasks this individual is responsible for are often unstructured, have wide implications and there are multiple outcomes.
- This individual will apply broad expertise or unique technical/industry knowledge in solving problems that are unique and low-medium complex given time and resource constraints.
- Support in determining and driving strategy decisions.

- This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties.
- Limited supervision is provided, as this individual can operate, drive results, and set priorities independently.
- The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert.
- To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through leadership and influencing multiple individuals and groups.

Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering is required. A Master of Science Degree in Engineering, Management or an MBA is desirable.
- 3 to 6yrs years of experience in strategy role or management consulting within technology industry or related fields.
