We are expanding our editorial video offerings across news, finance, sports, entertainment & lifestyle and are looking for an extremely creative motion graphics artist/video editor/producer to work on its ambitious daily video initiative. The Video Preditor will report to our Video Executive Producers.

This is a 3-month contract position.

- Scan the web and beyond to surface and pitch news and human interest stories that will captivate a wide audience
- Find and manage digital assets, craft succinct and whipsmart script copy for TOS videos averaging 1-3 mins in length
- Working with Executive Producers, create 2-3 videos a day for franchise series using in-house production tool and/or Adobe Premiere
- Produce and program compelling video posts for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube

Must Haves:
- 3-5 years editorial experience
- Highly creative, with a witty, sharp editorial style requiring minimal copyedits
- Attention to detail
- Basic experience with Photoshop/Illustrator
- Experience in creative development
- Extremely savvy with social media, and mixed media; working understanding of social metrics and content-surfacing algorithms of the major social platforms
- Team player — can bring the transformative spark for a creative editor while still working closely and openly with others to accomplish shared goals
- Passion for news and an understanding of editorial best practices
- Open to work on nights and weekends
- Plus: Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Premiere, After Effects
