Responsible for analyzing, developing and implementing desktop support solutions and recommends desktop support process improvements. Works with vendors to support and implement server, network, and voice technologies. Provides end-user support in a Windows environment. Assists in training of junior staff.

Responsibilities, Duties, and Accountabilities:
•Provides day-to-day support for employee desktop-computing issues.
•Investigates and resolves complex issues level one technicians cannot solve
•Images, configures and installs desktops and laptops for new hires, and creates accounts for enterprise and business area applications.
•Installs and supports enterprise-wide applications such as Windows 7, MS Office 2003 and 2010 as well as departmental business applications.
•Performs hardware replacements as equipment becomes defective or obsolete. Works with technical staff during the relocation of network and PC equipment.
•Maintains accurate PC, printer, software and LAN equipment inventory through inventory tracking software and vendor services.
•Manages client configuration inventory including software, hardware, IP addresses, and various other system addresses.
•Participates in the development and maintenance of departmental procedures. Sets up for presentations using multimedia equipment such as laptops and projectors

•5-7 years in a technology environment
•Microsoft Windows 7 Professional, Office, Active Directory, Scripting
•Common Windows PC applications, Oracle Java, Adobe Acrobat, Reader and Flash.
•Active Directory user and computer account management
•Remote access support (VPN, VDI)
•Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN connectivity, Firewalls, Routers)
•Cisco VPN
•Software inventory, deployment, and imaging tools
•Remote access tools
•Citrix XenApp
•SCCM administration experience (application deployment, security patching, mobile device management)
•Excellent technical knowledge of windows desktop and server hardware and software.
•Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
•Working technical knowledge of current networking protocols, operating systems, and technology standards.
•Scripting ability, especially using Powershell, VBScript and/or PHP, a large plus
