Product Marketing Manager - Lighting Consultant

 This  Product Marketing Manager  role is a key role in the growth of Cleveland, OH Division responsible for the product marketing and management of the existing and expanding portfolio of Rambus' LED lighting optical solutions. This role includes market analysis and trends, developing and executing product strategies, SWOT analysis, business case development, product positioning exercises, competitive differentiation and pricing. This highly visible role works closely with business development, product development, R&D and operations.


   Position Responsibilities  


 Establish and maintain working partnerships with engineering and senior management at key customers, to aggressively drive design wins and accelerate new revenues. 

 Develop new market requirement documents (MRDs) and product requirement documents (PRDs) to include target markets & applications, prioritized features, business justification, forecasts and marketing plans

 Define and maintain the product strategy, positioning and roadmap of new light management products for the general lighting, horticulture, specialty and automotive markets

 Develop and execute pricing strategies to meet revenue and margin targets

 Create and maintain customer presentations, marketing and technical promotion collateral, web content and customer seminar activities

 Initiate and work with internal groups to create technical Application Briefs for specific market applications that promote Rambus' value proposition to secure new design wins

 Collaborate with the corporate marketing team to define and execute promotional campaigns, product launches and all digital customer touch points (landing pages, inbound and outbound emails, etc.

 Participate as a product spokesperson at conferences, trade shows, press engagements, etc.

 Initiate and work with business development, product development and R&D to brainstorm new application and product concepts for growth markets

 Be an expert on competitor's technical capabilities, product specifications, channels to market and price positioning

 Work with third parties (channel partners, LED suppliers, etc.) when appropriate to define and coordinate reference solutions to meet general customer requirements

 Understand and internally communicate key market and application trends, optical technologies, emerging luminaire types, new competitor product offerings, regulatory requirements, etc.
Preferred Skills/Experience  


 8+ years of relevant product management or marketing experience in LED optical solutions

 Prior working relationships with key engineers and executives in the LED and lighting industry,  

 Demonstrated success in defining and launching new products

 Prior experience working on an e-commerce ordering process

 Proven ability to influence cross-functional technical teams without formal authority

 Strong analytical skills and experience

 Seasoned knowledge of the sales and product manufacturing processes including injection molding processes

 Good communication and presentation skills.  Need to be able to articulate benefits are Rambus' technology clearly and concisely

 Self-motivator with strong drive to achieve business objectives
