Job Description:
Northrop Grumman Technology Services is looking for a Hardware Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to provide technical expertise in design, development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications. This position requires a highly motivated, self-reliant team player who is comfortable with managing multiple tasks and responsibilities. This position will be located in northern Virginia.
The qualified applicants will become part of Northrop Grumman's team to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) suite of computer and automated software applications. CBP PSPD supports a broad range of complex business systems which are instrumental to the CBP mission of securing our borders while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.

Responsibilities include:

? Technical Support ? This entails working on the various devices that the contract supports. It also includes developing reusable software components for workstations and occasionally supporting enterprise biometric efforts as well.
? Performance Management ? Monitor and tune system to achieve optimum performance levels, and provide reports to support metrics collection
? Operations Support ? Available for occasional off-hours support

All work will be performed onsite at CBP offices in Northern Virginia. Some local travel to various CBP sites may be required.

Qualifications ?
Basic Qualifications:

? 5 years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD; 4 additional years of experience is accepted in lieu of Bachelors degree
? Must have an active or be able to obtain a Client/CBP Security clearance
? Experience with Microsoft Windows API Win32, Win64
? Basic knowledge of Windows Hardware including one or more of Microsoft Windows Device Management, Microsoft Windows Registry, Microsoft Windows DLL Construction
? Experience with Oracle Java SE, Oracle Java EE an Oracle Java JNI ? Java Native Interfaces
? Experience with multithreaded programming in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java
? Experience developing and provided support to operational/production environment
? Experience with Agile project management methodologies, including Scrum
? Ability to communicate effectively with project staff and work with team of developers, testers and analysts
? Must be a team players, self-motivated, self-starter and a quick learner
? Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong listening skills
? Strong customer service experience
? Excellent problem solving, analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:
? Prior experience with CBP
? Experience with one or more of MVC (Model View Controller Architecture), SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), JSON, SOAP, Maven, Ant, JavaScript, HTML5
? Experience with Android Native Programming, IOS Native programming (Swing/Objective C)
? Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Android Studio, Apple Xcode, NetBeans IDE or Eclipse IDE
? Experience with Atlassian toolsets, including JIRA and Confluence
