POSITION OF PUBLIC TRUST CLEARANCE REQUIRED
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Operations Support Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Raleigh, NC.
We are looking for the perfect candidate to join our Operations team which monitors, troubleshoots and remediates any issues with file transfers. The ideal candidate needs to be organized and respond to situations as they are encountered and escalate as needed. Day to day activities include system administration and monitoring for multiple platforms including UNIX and Linux.
Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
? Monitoring and remediating issues with alerts and notifications to support servers and other application tools.
? Responding to alerts related to file transfer issues or other data issues, and remediating these alerts.
? Assisting partners via email and phone to resolve transfer issues which could be related to server, network or other infrastructure components.
? Documenting issues and assisting with root cause analysis as needed.
**NOTE: This is a shift position. Sun - 7pm ? 7am; Mon- 7pm ? 7am; Tue ? 12am ? 7am; Wed ? 12am ? 7am. There will be 2-3 months of 1st shift M-F work for training and then migrate to the above hours. This shift is full time, no rotation, and very little likelihood of moving to another shift.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
? Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field is required and 2 years of experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
? Intermediate UNIX/LINUX skills
? Ability to troubleshoot issues and remediate any issues.
? Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
? Understanding of networking and file transfer protocols.
? Strong problem solving skills
? Experience with Windows Operations systems, Office suite and Outlook email.
? Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance ? US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), and must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years.
? Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
? 2 years of hands on experience UNIX/LINUX
? 2 years of experience in an operational support team.
? UNIX / LINUX scripting ? ability to write or at least understand
? Experience with communication protocols such as SFTP, SSH, AS2 and Connect Direct.
? Appropriate certifications such as A+, Network+, Linux+ or others.
? Local to the RDU / Research Triangle area (this position does not provide relocation assistance)
