*ITI/RRS Candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills: * Ability to learn quickly; understand business and technical network issues across the IT organization, learn and promote Ford IT business processes. * Self-motivated; proficient time-management skills; ability to complete assignments on time and with quality. * Demonstrate leadership and an excellent team player. * Strong interpersonal skills and maturity in communicating cross-functionally and with all levels of vendor and IT management. * Proficient in oral and written communications skills; ability to convey complex business and technical matters to a range of audiences in a clear and concise way. * Configure, upgrade, and maintain router and switch configurations * Manage and implement customer-initiated network change requests for Change Management (Plan, schedule, communicate and implement WAN, LAN, WLAN and associated technologies (WAE/WAAS, site/server load balancing, etc.) * Participate in implementing weekend/weekday changes on a three week rotating schedule in accordance with published change windows. * Assist in development of best in class processes. * Ability to isolate, resolve and restore the customer network services under an IT incident/problem management process and ticket system. * Capable of analyzing network traffic, break down protocols and identify source and destinations. Coordinate analysis with network vendor. * Proficient at completing root cause analysis and reporting on incident/problem management tickets. * Collaborate with Network Engineering/Planning on new standards/projects/implementations/technologies * Provide technical direction to Network Analysts and Administrators for network software and hardware implementations * Provide operational support for changes and break/fix whenever necessary to resolve infrastructure incidents/problems * Develop operational processes, procedures and documentation for peers
Strong technical network knowledge and configuration experience implementing the following technologies and standards such as Cisco IP routing and WAN and LAN switching, including layer 2 and layer 3 parameters. Cisco VSS, IOS and supervisor modules. QoS policy maps and LLQ marking, IP Multicast dense and spare mode, MLPPP, and WLAN access points. Actively provide support tasks to configure, upgrade, and maintain router and switch configurations. Manage and implement customer initiated network change requests for Internet changes. Plan, schedule, communicate and implement LAN, WAN and related technologies covering WLAN, QoS, etc. Participate in global change control to communicate network changes and implementation plans and schedules. Participate in planning meetings and ensure standards are implemented, and assist in development of ITIL processes. Work with international WAN circuit providers to provision circuits. Provide technical direction to network customer engineers, layer 1 support, for network software and hardware implementations. Collaborate with network planning and engineering on new projects implementations and technologies. Demonstrate teamwork skills and leadership behaviors, covering technical network working knowledge in LAN and WAN services, with strong interpersonal skills with ability to learn quickly and understand business and technical network issues across the IT organization. Be self motivated and proficient with time-management skills with the ability to complete assignments on time and with quality. Have excellent oral and written communications skills and ability to convey complex business and technical matters to a range of audiences in a clear and concise way.
Technical network working knowledge in IP converged services covering: IPTEL (call managers, gateways, CER), IP Call Center (call managers, gateways, CER). IPVC (SIP, H.323, MGCP and gateways) and WAAS services. Support tasks preferred for position, assist in improving ITIL operational processes for operational support of IP converged services. Strong working knowledge of network design and standards, concepts and principles. Strong troubleshooting and isolation skills required to effectively restore network services in a timely manner in the event of an outage. Understanding and awareness of ITIL Service Support and Service Delivery Management. Provide operational support, including break/fix, whenever necessary to resolve infrastructure problems. Participate in 7x24 support rotation (if required). Respond promptly to out of hours support requests (e.g. 15 minute callback). Grow a leadership role in incident/problem management triage and resolution (be the example). N/A
Preferred Bachelors in Computer Science or related IT field.
