Position Title: Project Manager (Bus Prof) - III (8420052)
Location: CO - Denver Downtown , MN - Minneapolis
Duration: 12 Months
NOTE: THIS POSITION IS ONLY ON W2 CONTRACT NOT ON C2C (Onsite Job)
Manages the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation. Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality measures. Develops project plan and drives project milestones. Establishes effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders. Provides day-to-day direction to project resources and ensures the project teams are provided the resources and support that enable the teams to reach their defined objectives. Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project. Responsible for preparation of documentation and status reports. Role requires excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills. Expert knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word and Visio.
The Project Manager will work independently to design and implement change management approaches and plans in support of a diverse array of process, data, and systems programs that affect one or more affiliated business areas. Assesses and manages affected stakeholder groups, defines and communicates anticipated organizational, process, and technology change impacts, designs and coordinates training, and measures changes receptiveness and adoption related to Xcel Energy's work with SAP. Designs end-to-end change management plans for high complexity projects and initiatives to drive adoption and implementation of process and technology changes across one or more business areas. Defines anticipated organizational, process, and technology change impacts affecting various stakeholder groups. Develops and executes against tactical, actionable communication & engagement plans. Defines communication tactics, events, and vehicles. Works with project team members and/or business area colleagues in the creation of communications content. Designs and maintains all training curriculums and courses within a defined scope area. Coordinates deployment of training to new or existing stakeholders. Xcel Energy's Stabilize and Optimize work is necessary to keep building upon the PTT solutions we have put in place with WAM and GL. The resources in this request will focus on Change Management and Training related to the process and technology releases (18.2, 19.1, 19.2), the supply chain initiatives (Work Order to Pay and Materials Management), Mobility and Scheduling, GOLD / Customer Enhancements, etc. The resources are necessary to ensure we build proper communications and trainings related to the S&O work and thus move Xcel Energy's employees through the change curve, get them proficient with the system, and keep driving for further productivity increases.
