Description
First Professional Services (Formerly Headway-VA Workforce Solutions), in partnership with a committed healthcare company in the Norfolk Va area, is seeking candidates for immediate Authorization Secretary Temp REMOTE positions.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Pay Rate: $ 12- $13 hr. based on experience
 

As an Authorization Secretary, you will…
  • Serves as a key resource in supporting the clinical authorization processes, coordinating linkage between patients, primary care providers, specialty providers and insurance companies.
  • Supports the referral process from primary care providers as well as pre-authorization approvals for medications and other services as ordered by providers.
  • May provide other general administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining records and files, and providing assistance to customers.
Qualifications:
  • Previous Secretary or Office experience required
  • Previous experience with Medical Terminology
  • Must have strong computer skills and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
  • Minimum One year of experience with insurance verification/referral process, preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payers, preferred
  • Willing to consent to the performance of a background check and drug screen
