SCA Crosswalk: Accounting Clerk III

Summary: Planning, coordination, and successive steps in fact-finding and analysis of issues are completed by the worker independently. Work may also involve developing, updating, or refining well established processes, procedures, or techniques associated with the main mission work of the unit to which assigned. The complexity of work and analyses conducted is considered routine, and generally involves only the work being personally performed by the worker. May be assigned more complex portions of unique or unprecedented work activities under as a member of a team or in an assistant capacity to a senior specialist.

Education, Experience, Job Training:
? High School Diploma or GED (Required)
? Requires four years experience in the administrative field or a Bachelor?s degree with two years of applicable experience in computer science, business or other related field.

Typical Tasks may include but are not limited to:
? Works with many aspects of the PeopleSoft and Asset Suite applications and uses the PeopleSoft and Asset Suite queries frequently
? Inputs and processes all types of vouchers
? Processes payroll
? Applies appropriate payment methods to all vouchers
? Processes, creates and maintains the spreadsheet documentation of reoccurring vouchers
? Performs posting functions in PeopleSoft for vouchers
? Processes, creates and maintains the spreadsheet documentation of reoccurring vouchers
? Provides a high degree of customer service to our clients, vendors and team members
? Supports travel department staff
? Perform complete relocation assistance for existing and new employees
? Conduct travel audits for all employees
? Perform year end statements and payments/collections
? Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.
? Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers.
? Code documents according to company procedures.
