Summary: General Position Overview:
The contract worker in this position will plan, direct, or coordinate supportive services of an organization, such as recordkeeping, mail distribution, telephone operator/receptionist, and other office support services. May oversee facilities planning and maintenance and custodial operations.
? A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
? Contract workers in these occupations usually need several years of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training.
? Position Levels: Level 1 - 1/2 to 4 years of experience specific to the requirements of the API; Level 2 - 5-9 years of experience
specific to the requirements of the API; Level 3 -10+ years of experience specific to the requirements of the API - NOTE - THIS LEVEL WILL ONLY BE UTILIZED IF SPECIFICALYY WARRANTED BY API CONTENT
Typical Tasks may include but are not limited to:
? Manage or coordinate the supportive services department of a business, agency, or organization.
? Prepare and review operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
? Monitor goals and deadlines for the department.
? Acquire, distribute and store supplies.
? Analyze internal processes and recommend and implement procedural or policy changes to improve operations, such as supply changes or the disposal of records.
? Monitor budgets for contracts, equipment and supplies.
? Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
? Monitor the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
? Monitor construction and renovation projects to improve efficiency and to ensure that facilities meet environmental, health, and security standards, and comply with government regulations.
