Summary: Provide technical support to engineering and technical personnel by performing studies and tests of substantial variety; and to evaluate and present results necessary to control the proper analysis and integrity of engineering projects.

Typical Tasks may include but are not limited to:
? Perform simulation studies and document findings in formal reports.
? Compiles technical results in summary form such as tables, reports, and graphics to support engineering staff.
? Develops and maintains databases related to engineering/scientific applications.
? Conducts efficiency studies on various projects and provides recommendations.
? Assist in the review and modification of One Line Diagrams and design drawings, using MicroStation CAD software.
? Prepares and processes work statements, procurement requests, detail sheets, receiving reports and invoices for various contracts.
? Performs field research by traveling to remote sites to collect physical data.
? Performs other related duties to a comparable level, as assigned.

Specific Tasks:
Using sound engineering practices and judgment, may perform all or any of the following services:
? Calculate dimensions, square footage, profile and component specifications, and material quantities using calculator or computer.
? Draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
? Analyze proposed site factors and design maps, graphs, tracings, and diagrams to illustrate findings.
? Read and review project blueprints and structural specifications to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements.
? Prepare reports and document project activities and data.
? Confer with supervisor to determine project details such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions.
? Inspect project site and evaluate contractor work to detect design malfunctions and ensure conformance to design specifications and applicable codes.
? Plan and conduct field surveys to locate new sites and analyze details of project sites.
? Develop plans and estimate costs for installation of systems, utilization of facilities, or construction of structures.
? Conduct materials test and analysis using tools and equipment and applying engineering knowledge.

Desired Skills:
? Requires experience in a technical environment, MicroStation experience required.
? Ability to analyze and effectively document large volumes of technical data is essential.
? Must demonstrate the ability to design, analyze and implement projects from concept through completion.
? Skill in oral and written communication to effectively fulfill client/customer/team requirements.

Education, Experience, Job Training:
