? Associate Degree or equivalent experience
? Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related technical discipline is highly desirable.
? Related Experience ? a minimum combination of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training is desired. Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of Marketing and progressively more technical in nature.
Minimum Related Experience:
? Level 1 ? 1?2 ? 4 years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required;
? Level 2 ? 5 - 9 years experience;
? Level 3 ? 10+ years experience.
General Position Overview:
The contract worker in this position assists in determining the demand for products and services offered by the agency. Identifies potential customers - ensuring the agency?s customer needs are satisfied. May assist in developing pricing strategies and in product development. Monitors trends that indicate the need for new products and services.
Typical Tasks may include but are not limited to:
? Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and applicable cost and markup factors.
? Assist in formulation of and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services.
? Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
? Compile lists describing product or service offerings.
? May evaluate the financial aspects of product development, factoring in such variables as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
? Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings.
? Use forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
? Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services.
