General Requirements:

.5-4+ years of engineering operations experience.
High School Graduate or GED Certificate required.
Bachelor?s Degree in business management, logistics management, engineering or a related technical field is desirable.

General Position Overview:

SUMMARY: Coordinate and expedite the flow of work, materials and/or equipment within or between departments of an organization according to project or production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing project, work, and other schedules; conferring with organization managers, project managers or team leads to determine progress of work and projected completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and any timeline or scheduling problems.

Typical tasks may include but are not limited to:
? Examine documents, materials, or equipment and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
? Review documents, such as project schedules, work orders, or action plans, to determine equipment or materials requirements and/or equipment or material priorities.
? Confer with organization managers, project managers, team leads or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
? Revise project schedules or actions plans when required due to design changes, labor or material/equipment shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with project managers, field personnel or engineering staff.
? Requisition and maintain inventory records of materials, equipment or supplies necessary to meet project timelines and/or maintenance requirements.
? Calculate figures, such as required amounts of materials or equipment, compile information, such as materials or equipment inventories, materials used, equipment/parts removed/replaced, so that status reports can be prepared and submitted to appropriate individuals.

Specific Skill Requirements :
? Level 1 ? .5-4+ years of engineering operations experience. High School Graduate or GED Certificate required; Bachelor?s Degree in business management, logistics management, engineering or a related technical field is desirable
? The technical experience must be consistent with the specific requirements of engineering operations and progressively more technical in nature. Individual must be capable of applying a diversified knowledge of principles and practices in assigned technical areas. Requires a working knowledge of automated data systems.
? Must possess broad knowledge of engineering operations policies and procedures involving material and equipment inventory and control.
? Must be flexible and able to pay excellent attention to detail.
? Must demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal verbal or written instructions.
? Must be self-motivated, self-disciplined and dependable with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
? Must have knowledge of MS software to include, but not limited to: MS Word, Excel, Access, and use of the Internet with the ability to learn and utilize other software packages and programs. Proficiency with MS Office Suite 2010 required.
