Technical Marketing Engineer, Wireless Products (LTE)
We seek to hire a Technical Marketing Engineer (LTE) to join our Product Management team based in Andover,
MA. This position requires extensive travel.
The Technical Marketing Engineer (LTE) will impact the organization by technically promoting the company's
wireless products and assisting customers with maximizing mobile network experience to achieve business goals.The
ideal candidate will support 4G LTE-EPC core/access services and indoor/outdoor small cells.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Travels to customer sites to deliver technical demonstrations, solutions and hands-on support to satisfy customer
Perform pre- and post-sales activity, and innovative technologies to its current and
prospective customers in person and by phone.
Perform analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems.
Perform analysis of highly complex network designs.
Build simulated networks in test labs to resolve highly complex problems and compatibility issues.
Lead demo project design, setup, presentation and customer workshop.
Assist customer with deployment and strategy of highly complex tools and related Network Management
Meet customer-critical deadlines for product content delivery.
Support successful trial execution through managing system integration with customer's back-end 3G and LTE
Manage and operate internal and 3 party simulation tools to support customer trials. Collect Wireshark traces to
rootcause network issues.
Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or Telecommunication or University degree equivalent plus 5-7 years relevant
experience in network engineering or telecommunications support environment. Advanced degree strongly
Able and willing to travel on short notice to meet the demands of the business.
Broad edge-to-core experience.
IP data networking experience in UMTS/LTE core/edge access in addition to the radio side.
Expert level knowledge in following areas: IP internetworking, LAN Switching, Voice technologies, IP Telephony,
IP Routing protocols (IS-IS, OSPF, PIM-SM, BGP).
Excellent knowledge of GPRS/UMTS/LTE core network architectures.
Excellent knowledge of Small Cell and associated core network technologies such as HeNB-GW, ePDG and
TWAG and Wireless LAN Controllers.
Excellent knowledge of security protocols and authentication (WISPr, EAP-TTLS/SIM, 802.1x, AAA, RADIUS)
Understand 3G and 4G integration and associated network services (such as Charging, performance, O&M, Gx,
Gy, Gz, Gr, Gn/Gp, Client, Gd, Gb and IuPS).
Experienced in Interoperability Testing (IOT) with customer vendors for SGSN and GGSN network elements.
Experienced in System Acceptance Testing: Ensure functionality of all test cases, and troubleshoot and isolate
any faults encountered.
Hands on experience in OSS and SNMP protocol.
Expert level internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
Must possess strong technical account management skills.
In-depth knowledge of network management, network availability and capacity planning.
Good Linux/Solaris expertise.
