Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Database Developer/Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Merrifield VA.

Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in requirements development and analysis for new data processes and software applications. Work with business analysts / end users to capture reporting requirements and translate to technical specs.
Analyze, develop and implement logical data models and data specifications using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Participate in the maintenance of data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data dictionaries and data element naming standards
Analyze data sources for data loads, perform gap analyses and reconciliations - Identify and resolve conflicts affecting data resource quality and integrity.
Suggest and implement process improvement and data collection opportunities.
Perform ad hoc data analysis, queries, updates and data manipulation, producing reports as needed.
Collect and Load data on a regular schedule, performing data importing and exporting.
Manipulate data, and refresh data on multiple databases.
Lead and manage workload among team members.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience SQL, PL/SQL, DDL and DML.
Strong experience with Oracle and PL/SQL backend development.
Proficient with data manipulation, data refresh on multiple databases
Proficient with database queries and SQL scripts
Experienced with data analysis with solid background in SQL
Must have worked with huge amounts of data
Proficient in manipulating data in Microsoft Excel and Oracle databases.
Ability to develop and document efficient processes to improve data integrity within the team.
Assist in user acceptance validation and/or end user training as needed.
Experience writing complex queries to uncover data discrepancies.
Ability to respond to ad hoc requests for data and information.
Strong skills in reporting, business intelligence and metrics.
Strong data quality and analysis skills are necessary.
Solid experience in Excel for data analysis and visualization. Ability to manipulate large amounts of data. Mainly in Microsoft Excel and Oracle12C.
Ability to work effectively with clients, data managers and other technical staff.
Ability to present complex information in an understandable manner.
Ability to recognize problems, take initiative, solve problems, and work independently.
Programming knowledge in a scripting language.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Very good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, communicative, responsible.
Must be able to obtain a position of public trust clearance (US citizen or Permanent Resident), must not have traveled outside the US for more than 6 months total in last 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within Oracle 12c is a plus
Experience with SQL Developer, Hibernate
