|Summary: Provide technical support and analysis, project definition, and project management services on facilities for implementing energy efficiency improvements resulting in the reduction of energy consumption and costs. This position is responsible for technical assistance in performing energy audits of industrial plants and commercial buildings. This includes analyzing lighting systems, HVAC systems (including steam), motor systems, measuring energy consumption, and metering.
Typical Tasks may include but are not limited to:
? Conduct energy efficiency and related audits that examine the electrical, mechanical, heating, air conditioning, and other utility systems of facilities
? Make recommendations for improvements in operational and maintenance procedures and energy efficiency capital improvements
? Assemble and analyze data and prepare reports on energy consumption and expenditures in facilities
? Assist energy program personnel in the evaluation of engineering service proposals directed toward the implementation of energy efficiency programs
? Establish and maintain effective working relationships with technical administrators, supervisors, and physical plant personnel
? Manage projects ? quality control and client issues

? Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations (Typically required)

Education, Experience, Job Training:
? Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field required
? 5-7 years experience with energy efficiency or renewable energy programs, projects and technologies required.
