Title - Compensation Analyst
Location - San Diego, CA
Duration - 12 months
This role is responsible for compensation-related activities in support of global business units within Client. Working closely with compensation team members, HR partners, and management/employees to ensure compensation programs are externally competitive, internally fair, rewarding performance, and in alignment with business needs and organizational goals. Ensuring compensation issues are understood and addressed in alignment with compensation philosophy, program design, and internal practices. Responsibilities may include participating in analysis, development, implementation and administration of global compensation policies and programs (base salary and salary range management, performance bonus plan, equity compensation programs, titling/leveling structures, promotions, compensation compliance, retention, etc.); evaluating and recommending solutions or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems; analyzing external market data to develop recommendations for maintaining or improving competitive pay programs; conducting job evaluations, documentation, and leveling to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to internal standards; developing and analyzing compensation metrics; supporting compensation due diligence activities for merger and acquisition activity; and other duties assigned based on business needs. Will also support our compensation team, HR partners, and managers through the company's performance review process. Activities may include: modeling program funding, developing and testing program guidelines, and conducting specialized compensation and data analysis; reviewing proposed recommendations for conformance to company guidelines, budgets, and internal consistencies; and analyzing and developing pay recommendations (i.e. Promotions, Salary Adjustments, etc) for a global employee workforce. 2+ years compensation experience 5+ years' experience with Excel, specifically in formulas, pivot tables, and vlookups
Prior experience in a high tech organization Excellent analytical skills Experience with administering and/or planning equity compensation programs Experience with Workday Knowledge of compensation theory, principles, practices, and laws/legal environments as they relate to compensation Creative and flexible, adaptable to change, and a team player
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in human resources, economics, finance, or applied statistics/mathematics
