JOB DESCRIPTION
Discovery is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the marketing team for Food Network and Cooking Channel in New York.

Duties and Responsibilities
? Maintain, manage and oversee the schedule for the senior vice president including heavy scheduling, meeting and travel coordination
? Responsible for all aspects of meeting planning including booking conference rooms, ordering food/beverages, securing presentation materials, greeting guests, arranging transportation, disseminating information, etc.
? Responsible for preparing expense reports and tracking departmental invoices
? Manage the flow of all internal and external correspondence - answering/placing phone calls and drafting/sending emails
? Support management with ongoing projects acting as key coordination source for projects as directed
? Acts as point person for out of town executives visiting the New York office
? Acts as the department liaison with Facilities, IT, Culinary and other departments
? Order premiums, holiday gifts and mailings
? Employee will also perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements
? Bachelor's degree preferred
? Minimum 1 ? 2 years of executive administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment or equivalent experience during internships preferred
? Proficient working with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, MS Outlook
? Attention to detail, accuracy
? Strong organizational skills with ability to act independently and responsibly
? Must demonstrate confidentiality and flexibility in accepting new and changing responsibilities and be a proactive problem solver
? Must have the legal right to work in the Unites States
