Artech is currently seeking to add to the below position

Job Title: Materials Specalist

Duration: 12+ Months contract

Under the supervision of the Materials Operations supervisor, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for managing phone calls and email inquiries from customers on campus, s/he is also responsible in maintaining department metrics and documents.

Work performed will include, but not limited to:  Answering phone calls and email inquiries and entering them in the inquiry log, coordinating special delivery of packages, coordinating package pickups, tracking lost packages and listing in a Google doc, submitting monthly numbers into the metrics spreadsheets, processing UPS and FedEx packages as they are received on campus, processing outgoing UPS and FedEx packages, and setting up meetings. Work closely with receiving, distribution, shipping, and leadership- learning the different aspects of each part of Material Operations. The individual will help reduce and improve customer response time. Work closely with the storage and disposition team, sample transport and the Zero Waste Team to ensure timely delivery of all materials on and off campus.

Ensure that all work is completed by end of day. Utilize time wisely to maximize  productivity               
Serve as a liaison between customers and warehouse staff.
Complete training records in a timely manner. 

Skills:    
Requirements

Working knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, gDocs, gDrive, gSheets, gSlides, gForms.
Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Meet timeline commitments and inform others of status, issues, and customer requests as necessary.

Being punctual.
Adheres to appropriate laws, GNE regulations and programs, and documentation procedures.
Adhere to safety.  Follow safety guidelines as required for your area.

*Must have a valid driver's license as the individual will need to drive company vehicles.

Skills

Strong organizational skills, warehouse and inventory experience, excellent communication skills, proficient in Word and Excel; knowledge of SCLogic and SAP a plus; willingness to learn other applications as needed, and forklift certified a plus

Education:    
Valid California Driver's License Required.
