Our midtown alternative investment client is looking to engage a Technology Project Manager with a deep background in building out portals.

Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a Technology manager to manage, direct, and oversee various projects, including the development and implementation of an Investor Portal. The candidate works independently and exhibits a high degree of initiative in resolving problems encountered and developing recommended solutions. In addition, the candidate has a deep understanding of buy-side asset management (preferably alternative asset management)

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, track change requests and monitor the CRAID log (Changes, Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies)
  • Lead the SCRUM call and manage the backlog. Plan sprints and work with technical teams to prioritize, plan, develop, and test the implementation of new requirements
  • Takes ownership of issues and escalate to ensure timely resolution; manage expectations both externally and internally
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables
  • Track project budget across vendors and report quarterly on project budget
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and document them. Work with vendors to solve for the requirements.
  • Generate materials as needed for meetings. Create agendas for meetings and send out detailed meeting minutes with action items and decisions made

Experience Required:
  • 7+? years industry full-cycle experience of SDLC methodologies and approaches, including refining business requirements and defining functional specifications
  • In-depth knowledge of investor data management (CRM, partnership account, etc.)
  • Strong working experience in Agile Methodologies. Knowledge of JIRA or other PM tools is a must. Proficiency in MS Project
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal

Educational Requirements:
  • Advanced degree from a top university strongly desired
