FDA MBI Tier 2 - Sensitive Moderate Risk - Key personnel initiate background checks immediately after task order award in order to receive an FDA badge and associated IT equipment. Limited work can be done with a non-disclosure form in place prior to having background check and badging process completed.

Project Description:
The FDA Data Center project operates four FDA Data Centers with IBM's scope including server operations, storage operations and backup and recovery services meeting government requirements for service levels, security and availability.

Task Description:
Key Personnel (KP):
Serves as lead storage administrator in the design, implementation and management of the storage environment. Responsible for configuring storage area network architecture. Determines how SAN is logically created, which components are used, data storage and retrieval frameworks, device/host interconnectivity and other parameters/components essential for a SAN.
Required Skills/Level of Experience:
Previous experience in business recovery or disaster recovery planning required.
General knowledge of business processes, management structures, and technology programs/platforms are preferred. Strong verbal and written communications skills are desirable.

Required:
Cisco Data Center Certification
SNIA (Storage Networking Industry Association)
Storage Networking Engineer Certification
Specific Vendor Storage Admin Certs (Dell EMC, Net App, Pure)

Optional Skills:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
Microsoft Technology Certifications (Operating Systems)
VMware Certifications
Linux Certifications

College Degree in IT related field
At least 8 years IT industry experience
