Job Title: Web Application Software Developer

Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking an individual with experience developing new applications to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This a one year position located in McLean Virginia which would start in January 2018.

The qualified applicant will be working with Northrop Grumman's MedDRA MSSO (Maintenance and Support Services Organization), which is an 18-year program that maintains a medical terminology used globally by health authorities and the biopharmaceutical industry.

MedDRA (Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities) is a medical terminology used to classify adverse event information associated with the use of biopharmaceuticals and other medical products (e.g., medical devices and vaccines). The MSSO serves as the repository, maintainer, and distributor of MedDRA as well as the source for the most up-to-date information regarding MedDRA. MedDRA is offered on a subscription basis to biopharmaceutical companies, regulatory authorities, academic institutions and software developers. The MSSO is seeking an individual to maintain existing software and develop a new web based applications to support the MedDRA project. These projects include developing MedDRA subscription tracking workflow including renewing existing subscriptions, adding new subscriptions, information related to customer contact information, subscription rates and revenues, generating invoices and creating customized reports.

Additional tasks may include developing an Internet facing web services API so external organizations can develop their own MedDRA tools using MedDRA term data.

Roles and Responsibilities:

? Learn and understand the MSSO business process and workflow as they relate to new and renewed MedDRA subscription and invoicing.
? Replace current subscription tracking system with new web-based application with improved workflow, intuitive GUIs, formulas to calculate pricing for invoicing, etc.
? Automate currently semi-manual processes and replace with batch processing of functions to reduce workload.
? Develop reports related to subscription information for staff to use as needed
? Develop an API that will allow other companies to develop other tools to use on MedDRA data
? Maintain existing internal and external software tools as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

? 5 to 7 years' experience developing web based applications including knowledge of the following languages
o Java / Java script
o C#, ASP.NET, Visual Basic
? Knowledge of XML
? 3 years of SQL Server experience or a similar relational database platform

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: ? Experience with developing workflow and invoicing systems ? Experience migrating data from Dynamic CRM ? Microsoft SQL Server relational database development experience ? Experience developing web services
