Job Summary:
  •        Manage assigned projects, ensuring that data and analysis requests are completed timely, accurately, and presented in a way that meets the needs of the requesting department. 
  •        Assess analysis requests and solicit feedback from requestors regarding any critical decision points that are necessary to complete requests accurately and timely. 
  •        Display knowledge of data sources available for reporting and must have a clear understanding of business operations in order to apply appropriate criteria and methodology to meet requestors' needs.
  •        Exercises timely and accurate data mining techniques and develops new or modifies existing standardized and ad hoc reports that ensure consistent conclusions to data analysis.
  •        Design and enhance databases, including testing, validating, and maintaining data integrity and accuracy across multiple databases and systems.
  •        Responsible for analyzing report requests to determine users' needs and objectives, identifying correct methodology for extracting data including data sources and criteria, and ensuring the delivered report is accurate, timely, and formatted appropriately.
  •        Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others throughout the organization.
 
Qualifications:
  •        Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field from an accredited four-year institution required.  Master's degree preferred.
  •        Experience in report writing and analysis, including experience working with large data sets that have complex relational designs and with unstructured data sets.
  •        Experience in database design, query development, table joins and report development and creation.
  •        Experience with statistical methods is preferred.
  •        Strong data analysis, data presentation, spreadsheet, and database capabilities. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, word processing, SSRS, SAS, SPSS, or other statistical packages is essential.
  •        Will accept extensive knowledge of ArcGIS or FDB MedKnowledge drug code data in lieu of SAS and MS Access.
  •        Must have strong critical thinking skills.
  •        Ability to handle multiple projects, data input, strong problem solving capability, excellent interpersonal/ communication skills.
