Client Profile
Our client is a young technology-based organization which hosts online listings and as part of their tremendous growth globally and expansion into the Middle East, we are recruiting an experienced online B2C services Country Manager with a strong background in launch, business development and operations in the hospitality, travel, tourism, retail or real estate to head their UAE operations. The role will have full P&L responsibility, be responsible for establishing and launching the UAE operations including setting up an office in Dubai and establishing the portal as the leading portal in its category.
The Role
Develop the portal to generate listings, user engagement and retention and strategic partnerships with advertisers to generate revenue and establish and grow market share.
Source B2B and B2C clients to list online and attracting customers to the site to accelerate growth and revenue and develop the UAE business model ahead of the market managing competition.
Work with the technology and product teams to ensure that all technology platforms are effectively developed and functional to enhance the customer experience through bookings and e-commerce.
Work with the finance team to develop competitive pricing strategies and innovative and rewarding product and services portfolio whilst ensuring that all market share growth, revenue and sales budgets are met.
Manage online and offline marketing, branding and communications to develop innovative marketing campaigns to build brand awareness, market share, customer engagement and retention.
Recruit, train and develop a team and ensure KPIs are met.
Establish efficient sales and operational processes to manage costs.
Essential Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 5 years' entrepreneurial business development and operations management experience in a high growth e-commerce startup platform with proven ability to build and scale up a technology-based business unit.
At least 10 years' commercial and operations management experience in the online leisure hospitality, travel, tourism, retail or real estate industry in the Middle East, preferably the UAE / GCC.
Strong background in exceeding business KPIs and navigating financial, compliance, legal and operational complexities in the UAE.
Proven ability in acquiring and managing strategic hospitality, leisure, travel, and tourism and retail partnerships with a deep understanding of the UAE consumer market.
Proven ability in increasing client and customer engagement and loyalty through developing innovate marketing and reward programs.
Strong commercial, financial, analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to formulate budgets, sales plans and broad legal terms.
Excellent working knowledge of online booking portals, e-commerce platforms and digital marketing concepts to maximize website lead conversion.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit and lead cross functional teams.
Experience of sourcing, selecting and managing vendors.
Bachelor's Degree as a minimum
