The Senior Network Engineer on the GNE team is responsible for engineering and implementation of switch and routed global network infrastructure with a focus on stability, automation, and innovation. This position will primarily focus on refreshing substantial network refresh.

LAN/WLAN/WAN environments traversing multiple platforms, supporting Enterprise Infrastructure teams on various projects including engineering and implementing new and upgrading existing network hardware, code upgrades while utilizing ITIL best practices. Additional duties include post deployment support.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred in Computer Science or Network Engineering fields
  • 5-8+ years of related experience
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP or other network engineer certifications preferred
  • Network security and automation experience preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Network Engineering and Troubleshooting skills
    • Routed/Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRF, VPNs
    • Switched Protocols: PVST, RPVST
  • Experience deploying and troubleshooting SD-WAN
  • WLAN/LAN/WAN engineering and implementation.
  • Adept with 802.11 wireless technologies in an enterprise implementation
  • Implement code upgrade/hot fixes from vendors.
  • Pre/Post change verification/validation with customer.
  • Documentation of complex technologies and topologies using Visio.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent track record implementing numerous enterprise solutions.
  • Knowledge of 802.11 wireless technology standards – 802.11b/a/n/ac/ax.
  • Experience with TCP/IP, including knowledge of common-service applications
  • Experience configuring and implementing HPE, Cisco routers and switches.
  • Project management experience within an enterprise a plus.
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment.
  • Development/Automation, scripting experience using Python or Ansible.
