Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Experience with managing/maintaining a Multi-Domain Environment and HA cluster environments as well as single firewall deployments.
  • Experience in configuring check point appliances from the ground up and deploying them in a production environment.
  • Experienced in Check Point specific troubleshooting whether it be from simple firewall issues, to a down Splunk LEA Log collector.
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting IPSEC VPN Site to Site tunnels.
  • Experience in configuring/troubleshooting the Check Point IPS blade (Managing Profiles, creating exceptions)
  • Knowledge and familiarity with troubleshooting any issues related to GAiA OS.
  • Experience with creating and working with rulesets in a production environment and how to properly and efficiently organize a Check Point rule base.
  • Ability to configure , monitor interpret and automate KPIs such as CPU, Memory, Network and disk utilization as well as the connections and NAT tables as they relate to a functioning production firewall.
  • Candidate should be able to infer device health from these statistics and make recommendations and call outs based on them.
  • Candidate should be familiar with Smart View Monitor as well as built in alerting tools provided by Check Point.
  • Candidate should have experience with configuring KPIs or providing KPIs to be monitored by external services such as Solar Winds,Spectrum ,Indeni etc.
  • Experience in documenting SOPs and implementation workflow.
  • Experience designing and implementing Cisco ASA infrastructure to SSL based remote access VPN.
  • Experience with ASA high availability and disaster recovery features.
  • Experience designing and implementing IDS on Cisco ASA utilizing Cisco Firepower features.
  • Experience with VPN feature set including split-tunneling, on-demand vpn, 2-factor authentication, Optimal gateway selection, and dynamic access policies.
  • Experience with large-scale global deployments and performance tuning.
  • General networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wireless, WCCP, Application layer firewalls, packet captures, and web proxies.
