Key Responsibilities:/Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Product design solutions that are part of a larger strategy and understands their impact in the context of the Client brand.
  • Maintains a global end-user perspective in all product concepts.
  • Remains current on international design trends, including CMF, form, user interaction.
  • Constantly aware of and current on the competitive landscape of products in assigned category.
  • Responsible for decision making based on corporate business strategy.
  • Constantly pushing the envelope and expanding the imagination of cross functional counterparts with innovative product concepts.
  • Placing proposals in the context of a user scenario and environment to illustrate the benefits and facilitate effective decision making when communicating ideas.
  • Clearly understands organizational structure and how it affects decision making.
  • Clearly communicates POR to organization.
  • Proactively engages cross functional team members to secure early buy-in of ideas.
  • Applies professional industrial design experience and is aware of and can articulate the differences between a corporate and consultancy setting and the challenges they present as it relates to the field of industrial design.
  • Can demonstrate methodology and creative thinking in cross functional problem solving (including considerations and trade offs of user benefit, value, manufacturability, environment, time to market and cost).
  • Has a keen sense of aesthetics both visual and tactile.
  • Is capable of collaborating with peers in design, usability and cross functionally in refining products.
  • Relevant and current understanding of IT industry and related technologies.
  • Exhibits creativity and curiosity to learn more.
  • Understands the fundamentals of product development, designing cohesive user experiences, design language development, and the role of the industrial designer in building corporate brands.
  • Understands the expectations of what needs to be delivered and can deliver quality under deadline.
  • Asks questions for clarification as issues arise.
  • Engages appropriately with all team members.
  • Demonstrates a sense of ownership and accountability within the team.
  • Undergraduate degree and 2-4 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 0-2 years relevant experience.
