Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teams apply various Agile frameworks, methods, practices and principles of agility to the benefit of the team and organization.
  • Support multiple Agile teams, Product Owners / Managers, and Development Teams in understanding and enacting their roles.
  • Embody agility using a servant leadership approach and leading by example.
  • Educate and coach executives, managers, stakeholders, and others throughout the organization regarding Agile practices and how their roles and interactions may change.
  • Help teams and the organization to continuously improve their interactions, practices, and process through valuable inspect and adapt practices.
  • Help teams improve with facilitated conversations, metrics, feedback loops, and information radiators.
  • Coach Agile Teams in self-organization, continuous improvement, cross-functionality, risk identification, dependency management, conflict resolution, and software craftsmanship.
  • Remove organization impediments that are preventing teams from accomplishing their goals.
  • Facilitate events and activities as necessary and ensure teams and the organization are realizing value from them.
  • Establish scalable Agile delivery model for the organization; define and enforce processes for integrating with traditional waterfall delivery teams.
  • Align different functions in the business in the development of tools, people and capabilities that support mature Agile Delivery practices.
  • The Enterprise Agile Coach will work with the head of field technology and key stakeholders to accelerate the company's digital transformation by implementing and scaling agile practices across product teams and the broader organization.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to create and roll out plans to support agile processes across the business, primarily focused on product teams that support advisor- and client-facing technology.
  • Ability to put in place measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress.
  • Deep experience working as a change agent to transform how an organization thinks and works.
  • Comfortable coaching people across different functions and levels of the organization, including senior executives.
  • Hyper-focus on impact, building organizational muscle around measuring progress, and developing capabilities to help the organization create sustainable change.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Experience as an Agile Coach for teams in variety of contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, and product types, etc.).
  • Expertise in the application of Agile Practices and Principles in SDLC and non-software product development and delivery.
  • Solid understanding of a variety of Agile frameworks and practices (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, TDD, FDD, XP, Lean UX, Dual Track, etc.).
  • Holds Scrum and other Agile certifications.
  • Conceptual knowledge of a variety of practices that support agility (CI, automated deployments, TDD, ATDD, story mapping, Agile learning games, etc.).
  • Track record of continuous learning regarding Agile, Scrum, Lean, coaching, facilitating, emotional intelligence, team dynamics, listening, etc.
  • Deep understanding of all software lifecycle development disciplines - Project Management, Requirements Management, Analysis & Design, Quality Assurance & Testing, Implementation, Deployment, Configuration & Change Management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience presenting, teaching, mentoring, and facilitating.
  • Experience communicating and removing impediments across an organization.
  • Knowledge and experience with cultural and organization change.
  • Proven leadership skills, specifically leading by example (servant leader).
  • Experience in Coaching senior executives and C-suite in the development and establishment of Agile Office.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries preferred (healthcare, financial, energy, etc.)
