Key Responsibilities:
 
  • The successful candidate will facilitate assessment, review of, and reporting on problem investigations for medium priority events.
  • A Problem Review is coordinated with cross-functional teams, designed to identify and/or validate root cause, identify permanent solutions to prevent recurrence, and address issues associated with the event.
  • Over the course of the Problem process, focus is on identifying and uncovering risk and potential risks in the interest of incident avoidance.
  • When risk is identified, the successful candidate will take responsibility to escalate (where applicable) and debate.
  • Critical to a candidate’s success is the ability to enable a comprehensive discussion around risk and Root Cause Analysis often leveraging the Risk Framework resulting in the elimination of Incident recurrences and minimizing business impacting Incidents.
  • Coordination of technical information related to medium priority events.
  • Creating and managing problem investigation records, problem known errors, and related tasks to successful completion.
  • Sending out appropriate communications throughout the lifecycle of a problem review.
  • Satisfying Problem Management policy, standards, and process guidelines.
  • Facilitation of required meetings.
  • Capable of supporting/working within an ITIL structured environment especially in Problem management.

Qualification and Technology Experience:
 
  • Four year degree or higher in Computer Science or related technology areas.
  • 4+ years of Information Technology experience within a support/operations environment or within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize work in a timely manner
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to lead the resolution process for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation.
  • Strong business acumen, being able to understand various business processes, products and services.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors.
  • Self-starter which delivers with minimal direct management.
  • Can work independently or in a team settings.
  • Provide a professional appearance.
  • Comfortable in presenting to Senior Leadership teams.
  • Splunk and DynaTrace experience.
