Human Resources Director
Location: Paramus, NJ
Salary: $200K +
  • Proven experience as an HR Strategist.
  • Hands-on International/Global HR experience.
  • Experience working in multiple states, understanding the different employment laws.
  • **Must have built out an HR Structure/Framework multiple times in your career for midsize companies.
  • Must have a very well rounded. deep background in all of the following: Employment Law, Payroll, Benefits, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning and Development

The Human Resources Director will lead the Human Resources function for headquarters and partner with the Executive team to drive people management initiatives. The selected individual will collaborate with the business to implement HR programs in line with the organization's strategic objectives and design an integrated human resources approach. Key responsibilities include providing HR consultation and support in the areas of organizational design, performance management, change management, benefits and compensation management and employee relations.

The Human Resources Director reports to the CEO and dotted lines to the Global HR Director.

What you'll do:
  • Work with the senior leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy to support the businesses.
  • Plan, design and organize the HR function to deliver the full array of HR services and support to the business.
  • Develop talent management/succession planning
  • Responsible for ensuring cohesive staffing/recruiting strategies and processes across the business to support the needs of the organization.
  • Provide coaching and expert HR advice to business leaders and employees as appropriate.
  • Contribute to business strategy and overall performance by helping leaders identify, prioritize and build capabilities, behaviors, structures & processes.
  • Design and provide the appropriate compensation, rewards and recognition processes including commission-based employees, annual salary planning process, and other plans to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Identify, design and deliver the necessary development programs and training opportunities that ensure employees are able to meet current & future performance standards and business requirements.
  • Develop/enhance the appropriate HR practices & policies to support the businesses and meet the compliance requirements for the company.
  • Seeks opportunities to leverage HR services across the Divisions

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience with a preference for an advanced degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • Demonstrated and substantiated experience in an HR Business partner role specifically focused on employee relations, employment law, employee engagement, compensation, benefits analysis, performance management, recruitment, and training and development.
  • Demonstrated and substantiated experience in delivering scalable human resource programs for employees as a result of fast-paced growth.
  • Ability to deliver HR programs to effectively address business issues.
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills, including influencing at all levels and the ability to encourage evolutionary change.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with team members in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated Project Management and Change Management Skills.

  • Ability to thrive and execute with minimal structure. Navigate and operate within a fast-paced and at times ambiguous environment.
