Job Title: Senior Applications Analyst for SAP Accounts Payable with PTP
Location: Houston, TX
Length: 3 - 6 Months CTH

Opportunity Profile:
This position is responsible for ongoing production support and delivery of IT solutions in the area of Purchase-to-Pay (PTP) which includes SAP and non-SAP components. Though the position requires an understanding of the end-to-end PTP process the focus is made primarily on the Accounts Payable aspect.
This position will closely interface with customers to gather functional requirements for new enhancements or projects and establish a strong trustful relationship with those customers. This position is also responsible for system design, configuration, delivery and support of new solutions revolving around the PTP process.
Essential responsibilities include:
  • Provide production support for the end to end PTP solution with a strong focus on the SAP Accounts Payable and its integration points with other SAP modules and non-SAP applications to ensure business processes are maintained in a non-disruptive manner. 
  • Interface closely with business users to facilitate requirements gathering using interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions and use cases.
  • Prepare detailed functional specifications and work closely with ABAP developers to define effective solution design.
  • Assist in preparing project estimates and timelines.
  • Implement, test and validate configuration changes for SAP Accounts Payable module in accordance with business requirements and the company's IT guidelines.
  • Create and execute integration and regression test scripts. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with business users.
  • Work with business process owners and other support teams to define and prioritize solutions for new problems, projects or opportunities as well as to identify potential cross impact across the PTP process.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members on system/process analysis and coordinate work with the offshore team.
  • Collaborate with software vendors to coordinate work that involves proprietary code changes to the PTP solution.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvements in systems and processes.
  • Prepare application support documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer.
Education: 
  • BA or BS in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree and 8+ years of experience in Systems Development or Applications Support required.
  • SAP FICO certification preferred.
Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in SAP FICO support and configuration out of which at least 5 years of experience in supporting a similar end-to-end PTP solutions such as Ariba.
  • Experience in supporting interfaces, invoice approval workflows, and optical character recognition tools used in the Accounts Payable process.
  • Knowledge of SAP Material Ledger a plus.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and system designs.
  • Good understanding of the integration points across SAP modules.
  • Strong technical analysis skills for creating optimal solutions for the business.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload as appropriate.
