Position Description
Training Manager, Revenue Cycle will be responsible for developing and/or improving and maintaining a revenue cycle training program for The US Oncology Network. Training programs can include all revenue cycle related training needs such as revenue cycle PM systems (primarily system centricity business and secondary system centricity practice), revenue cycle process and role based competency training. Key responsibilities includes developing and implementing training programs for new practice management system implementations for centricity business/practice and supporting training needs for practices in existing centricity environments. Responsible for the onsite evaluation of revenue cycle enabling technologies that are licensed through McKesson Specialty Health. Provide assessment of current practice management systems (Client Centricity Business, Allscripts Vision, Misys Tiger, Cerner Power Works, Medical Manager) and recommend optimization based on defined standards and revenue cycle best practices. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Programs
  • Develop new and/or improve existing revenue cycle training programs. Development of these training programs may include partnering with other MSH training and education type resources and leveraging training assets to ensure delivery of efficient and effective training to Network practices. Responsible to maintain revenue cycle training programs in following key areas.
  • Develop training delivery methods to include in-person, web based, train the trainer etc. for efficient use of time, skills and managing the Network scale.
Technical Training (Centricity Business and Practice)
  • Develop PM system related technical training material to meet both back (CBO) and front office (clinic revenue cycle) training needs.
  • Develop PM system related technical training material for end user and super user training
  • Develop and execute on technical training program (and playbook) to ensure effective implementation of a centricity business/practice PM system
Process Training (Revenue Cycle Back office and Front Office)
  • Develop and implement training program to enable recurring process training of key revenue cycle processes. Ensure training geared towards standardized revenue cycle processes with the ability to modestly customize RBO/practice specific requirements
Role Based Competency Training (Standard Roles and Skills)
  • Develop and implement role based competency training. Implement training for blue print type standard roles to enhance specific role based skills. Role based training to include recurring training and evaluation for personnel development
Other (Change Management, Project Management, Lean, Six Sigma etc. )
  • Partner with other MSH resources to execute on other training programs such as change management, project management, continuous improvement and leadership development. Institute these programs within the training portfolio for Network RBO's and/or the practices.
Practice Management (PM) System Implementations
  • Directly responsible to meet all technical training needs for all new PM system implementations for centricity business and centricity practice.
  • May leverage other outside training resources such as vendor (Client, BPS etc.) Trainers to ensure effective delivery of practice management training to The Network practices.
  • Serves as the project lead for training on all new PM system implementations. Responsible to oversee all training material and delivery for all centricity implementations. Responsible to develop and implement training plan.
  • Works with vendors, practices, instructional designers, implementation team members, other training team members, and other departments to identify training needs and participates in course development.
Process Analysis and Optimization
  • Responsible for the development and documentation of workflow processes and procedures, as well as manage and maintain these pathways.
  • Indentify opportunities for improvement and develop specific plan s to maximize product utilization and operations to meet strategic and financial goals.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of training materials.
  • Able to understand and explain workflow and technology interactions
  • Recommends modifications and expert customizations to the curriculum and training methods of the course to ensure the courses support end-user training implementation efforts.
  • Updates documentation related to end-user training materials to incorporate new system features, implementation information and methodology.
  • Serves as a trainer responsible for the design, development and delivery of training.
  • Assessing requirements for customizations of customer's courseware library and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage expectations, provide escalation pathways, and document resolution of any issues that may arise during a class session.
***McKesson Specialty Health Office, The Woodlands, TX is the preferred location. Remote may be considered for the position.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • 3+ years technical experience working with various practice management systems (Client Centricity Business, Allscripts Vision, Misys Tiger, Cerner PowerWorks, Medical Manager) and clinical processes/workflow in community clinics, including direct interaction with both patients and MDs
  • 3+ years of healthcare revenue cycle mgt., reimbursement, billing, and collections related work experience required.
  • 2+ years experience technical application training
Critical Skills
  • Experienced in developing/creating program training material and training delivery methods to include in-person, web based, train the trainer etc. for efficient use of time, skills and managing training across a network.
  • Product and process analysis experience; analyzing technical product use, user system knowledge and gaps.
  • 1-2+ years experience with Client Centricity Business
  • Experienced with the process of change management
  • Excellent skills in collaboration, problem solving, presentation and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to adapt to flexible schedules with high level of dependability. Multi-tasking, flexible to accept new and changing priorities
  • Proficiency and expertise with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). At least 2 years experience and expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience with specialty physician practices a plus
  • Trained in applying lean six sigma tools such as process mapping, control plans etc., preferred
  • Green belt certified or trained, preferred
Education
BS/BA in Education, Computer Science, or Business Administration or equivalent experience
Travel Requirements
