Scope of Work 

Client's IT organization, Global Business and Technology Solutions (GBTS) is seeking an DevOps SRE to work in Roseland, NJ.  This exciting position will offer a qualified candidate the opportunity to be a part of, and help build a greenfield Cloud Operations practice for a Fortune 50 enterprise.  We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has passion for technology, and a desire to provide outstanding customer service.   
 
Responsibilities:
The position focuses on ensuring the reliability and maintainability of services that are leveraged as part of the enterprise adoption of public cloud (AWS).  A successful candidate will utilize technology to automate solutions and optimize outcomes, never wanting to see the same class of problem twice.  The top technical skills for this role include automation, a high proficiency in scripting languages, and an ability to create and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
 
The successful candidate must be able to: 
1.                   Automate processes/code in Python, Ruby, Go, node.js, JavaScript, or another modern language. 
2.                   Create and deliver Infrastructure as Code (IaC) through a CICD pipeline utilizing tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline or
comparable toolsets.   
3.                   Consume/have literacy using source code repositories such as Bitbucket, GitHub, Artifactory, or comparable toolsets. 
4.                   Leverage configuration management/image management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Packer, etc. to administer an AWS AMI lifecycle. 
5.                   Leverage enterprise toolsets such as Splunk to search, analyze, visualize, and report on machine generated data to help achieve operational excellence. 
6.                   Successfully collaborate across various technology disciplines. 
7.                   Help evangelize IT best practices and trends including TechOps, Cloud, Automation, DevOps, etc. 
8.                   AWS/Linux admin experience a plus.   
9.                   Software Defined Network (SDN) experience a plus. 
10.               ServiceNow Integration experience a plus. 
 
Qualifications:  
1.                   Minimum 1 year related current experience.   
2.                   Ability to work with ambiguous and abstract concepts, as the candidate will often have to resolve complex customer inquiries.

9.                   Ability to provide 7x24x365 on call support 
10.               Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related technical field.
