E-Commerce Middleware Infrastructure Support Specialist
About the position
E-Commerce support group is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software infrastructure associated with Client's Internet and Intranet applications.  The Middleware Support specialist would specialize in these tasks as related to the E-Commerce Middleware technology stack.  Primary support responsibilities would include installation, maintenance and user support of the Apigee API environment along with support of various other Middleware technologies such as Software AG WebMethods.  
Job responsibilities include:
  • Installing, configuring, and testing of Apigee installations and Upgrades.  These installations include both on premise and AWS implementations
  • Configure on premise and AWS load balancing using in house F5 solutions and native AWS ALB and Route 53
  • Automate installation/builds using Ansible scripting
  • Ongoing performance monitoring/management of Apigee environment
  • Interface with development community to assist in troubleshooting problems in all tiers, including Development through Production
  • Serve as a support resource for additional Middleware products in use.  This includes Software AG WebMethods and IBM Datapower
  • Maintain relationships with other business partners, vendors and professional organizations
  • Support staff in solving problems and incorporating new processes and technology to enhance infrastructure performance and reliability.
  • Maintain a well-controlled and resilient technology environment, including the identification and management of IT risks in coordination with company policies and IT governance standards
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and partnering skills
  • 5+ years experience supporting Middleware products
  • Well versed in Apigee Architecture and capabilities, including installation, upgrade, monitoring, and debug
  • Proficient in Unix skills with RedHat Linux preferred
  • Proficient in web based architecture concepts including http/https communication protocols, calls, headers, and return codes
  • Proficient in TCP/IP concepts as applied to Middleware communication
  • Familiar with distributed authentication mechanisms such as client certificates, Basic Authentication, OAUTH, and others
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering required. Graduate degree a plus
  • Software AG WebMethods or similar ESB technology a plus
  • IBM Datapower Gateway a plus
  • IBM Websphere Application Server a plus
