Manufacturing Development Engineer:

The successful candidate will combine superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to deliver results quickly and effectively. The Mechanical and/or Aerospace Tools and Manufacturing Engineer will have a background in aerospace structural designs, tool designs, mechanical systems, manufacturing processes and techniques, and GD&T. You will have experience analyzing structural designs and mechanical systems, as well as detailed knowledge of manufacturing and shop practices. Must be able to design tools and fixtures required for manufacturing. Must enjoy problem solving and possess practical knowledge of prototype design as well as production run manufacturing methods.

The Mechanical and/or Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:
• Develops manufacturing methods and processes required to meet design objectives on new or improved products and/or processes. Compiles and evaluates test and production data; prepares technical analysis
• Investigate equipment and technology requirements and select appropriate production and facility equipment to meet current and future needs
• Provides engineering support in the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of assembly operations
• Initiates paperwork for engineering changes to improve manufacturability of products on the shop floor
• Troubleshoot and improve current manufacturing processes on the shop floor
• Working with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and outside vendors to ensure a smooth transition to production.
• Designs tools and holding fixtures for vehicles, assemblies, and subcomponents
• Designs tools and fixtures for composite manufacturing

Basic Qualifications
• BS or MS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Robotics Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in the design of complex mechanical structures, equipment, tool and fixture design including machine shop and composite manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with a diverse range of materials (i.e. aluminum alloys, stainless steel alloys, engineering polymers, composites, etc.)
• Experience with SolidWorks, CREO, or CATIA with knowledge of robust part design, managing large assemblies and creating detailed documentation
• Expert with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and ECO's
• Familiar with MRB (Material Review Board) practices as it pertains to aerospace manufacturing
• Must be capable of applying statistical analysis techniques such as Design of Experiments, Optimization, Process Reliability, Hypothesis Testing and Regression Analysis.
• Strong hands on experience with the ability to craft simple proof-of-concept models in-house
• Thorough understanding and use of principals, theories and concepts in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Robotics engineering and design.

• Experience as a Pilot and R/C modeler is helpful

Senior Structural Design Engineer:

The ideal candidate will have experience designing entire vehicle structure, as well as detail parts and mechanical systems. They must enjoy problem solving and possess practical knowledge of prototype design as well as production run high tech manufacturing methods as it pertains to structures and mechanical systems.
The Mechanical and/or Aerospace Structural Engineer will be responsible for:
• Designing vehicle structures, and mechanical systems
• Assist in designing static and dynamic tests for structure and mechanical subsystems to meet industry standards for strength and lifecycle requirements
• Working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production, including design, prototyping, validation, testing and certification.
• Working with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and outside vendors to ensure a smooth transition to production.
