Position: Raw Materials Engineer.
Exempt
SCOPE OF POSITION:
The candidate will primarily focus on production support and helping maintain raw materials and process gas storage and delivery systems. Candidate will be expected to provide day to day technical support to raw materials technicians, using good engineering practices and fundamental understanding.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the general operation and maintenance of the raw materials systems (High purity chemical storage and delivery systems)
Lead day to day tracking and resolution of raw material equipment and process issues.
Review historical trend data and create operational ranges, for audit purposes, for all critical raw material parameters
Review existing raw material delivery tracking and inventory management systems and propose recommendations to improve effectiveness.
Improve raw materials reliability by performing gap analysis and implementing recommendations
Manage projects related to implementation of new technologies, process improvement, and commissioning of new equipment.
Participate in process hazard assessments, Job safety analysis, and change management reviews.
Support plant manufacturing operations as needed by providing technical expertise
Review critical raw material procedures to check for accuracy and completeness.
Perform field verification to confirm accuracy of existing piping drawings.
Work on cost reduction projects and collaborate with procurement to ensure good supply assurance (reliable flow of raw material supply through the production cycle)

REQUIREMENTS:
10 + years related experience (raw materials, High purity piping systems, chemical storage and delivery systems) is preferred. Candidates with 5-10 years will be considered, bill rates should be aligned with experience.

Bachelor's degree (Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial) minimum

Knowledgeable in the use of 6 sigma tools and methodologies

Strong understanding of raw materials storage /distribution systems and high purity piping design (basic AutoCAD needed)

Able to prepare technical reports to document problem statements and recommendations

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Good interpersonal skills with ability to work across functional groups

CAD

Interpret drawings and schematics.

MS excel (SPC) for statistical analysis

Manufacturing experience and good problem-solving skills
