Job Location: Corning, NY is HQ. Will be working majority in Minnesota/Texas

*Looking for candidates surrounding both New Ulm, Minnesota or Austin, Texas. These will be the primary locations that the worker will be at the beginning of the project. Candidates do not need to be local to the Corning area*

Exempt Position

Working Hours: Candidates should expect that the schedule is going to flex based on the project. They may be asked to work a 6 day week when the project is in full swing. All other times should be a traditional Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm

Project Details:

This Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the move of a production line from one or two locations.

This will consist of putting together the task lists for removal and shipment, assembling and review of completed drawing packets, and ensuring that ARC Flash and safety procedures are put into place.

The production line will then be moved to the Reynosa, Mexico where this worker will be responsible for overseeing the installation.

  • Encompasses technological and operating principles contained in all aspects of electrical communications, especially computer algorithms, architecture, operating systems, and software, for the usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers and electronic devices used to control machines and manufacturing processes.
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
The systems that the worker will be interacting with are older (80s or 90s) and it may be very early versions of the systems outlined below

  • Applies extensive technical engineering expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Develops and resolves solutions to complex technical problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Work is performed without day to day direction.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of an assignment.
  • Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long term perspective for desire results.
  • Represent the organization as the primary technical lead on a project. Interacts regularly with senior personnel and leads matters that require significant coordination between organizations.

Education: BS in Engineering (Electrical is ideal)

Experience: 10+ Years
